Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field service technician specializing in life safety and sprinkler systems. You will perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and maintenance of life safety product lines under supervision.

Candidates should have 5-10 years of related experience, be able to read blueprints, diagrams and manuals, and operate hand tools and a multimeter. Travel for field work and a competitive hourly package are required.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years documented experience in sprinkler systems
• Able to obtain and retain required licenses
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, and manuals
• Experience with hand tools and multimeter usage
• Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and foam systems

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventive maintenance of life safety product lines
• Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for operation of low voltage equipment
• Learn to complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding using laptops or paper
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documentation electronically or on paper
• Make minor repairs and programming changes under supervision
• Complete assigned inspections on time
• Perform other duties as assigned
