Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a field Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventative maintenance on life safety sprinkler product lines. You will document deficiencies, complete service acknowledgements, and maintain a structured inspection schedule while assisting foremen in installations and minor repairs.

The role requires climbing, lifting up to 70 lbs, and availability for flexible hours including nights and weekends to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses as required by National, State and Local codes.
• Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, fire pumps, and foam systems.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
• Capable of performing physical labor up to 50-70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on life safety product lines.
• Inspect and document deficiencies found during inspections.
• Complete service acknowledgements/inspections with proper coding via devices or paper.
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
• Assist in installation of sprinkler systems and minor repairs.
