Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. is seeking an experienced field inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, and preventive maintenance on life safety sprinkler product lines.

The role requires handling equipment up to 70 lbs and working from ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment. Ideally, candidates bring 3+ years in sprinkler systems, blueprints reading skills, and ability to obtain necessary licenses.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• Able to obtain and retain required licenses.
• Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, programs schematics and manuals.
• Able to carry/move equipment and tools up to 50–70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing and preventative maintenance of life safety product lines and similar manufacturers’ product lines.
• Accurately discern and document deficiencies found during inspections.
• Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding through devices like laptops, smartphones, or paper.
• Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes to inspected systems.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
• Carry/move equipment up to 70 lbs.
• Assist foreman in installing wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.
• Work in ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.
