Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service, and preventive maintenance on electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines. You will document deficiencies and communicate effectively to ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires climbing ladders, handling equipment up to 70 lbs, and the ability to work non-standard hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
• Able to obtain and retain licenses as required by codes.
• Experience with wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, foam systems.
• Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, manuals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and service electrical, sprinkler or suppression life safety product lines.
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Document deficiencies clearly after inspections.
• Complete Service Acknowledgement/inspections with proper coding.
• Maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Make minor repairs and programming changes.
• Carry/move equipment up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Assist foreman in installation of sprinkler systems.
