Cantain Skilled Nursing in Alamogordo, NM seeks a Maintenance Director with life safety inspections expertise to supervise the maintenance department, ensuring environmental center compliance with federal, state and local codes. The role covers HVAC, routine upkeep, and a quality laundry service to keep the center sanitary, safe, and well-maintained.

You will coordinate with residents, nurses and staff, maintain records, and lead preventive maintenance initiatives to prevent outages and hazards

Qualifications

• Experience in life safety inspections and supervision of maintenance staff.
• Ability to ensure environmental center compliance with regulations and building codes.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and laundry service provision.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Environmental Services personnel and daily work to optimize service and control expenses.
• Executes preventive maintenance programs and keeps records to maximize building function.
• Maintains center records including parts, materials, and fuel supply.
• Performs routine maintenance and repairs per applicable regulations and codes.
• Collaborates with residents, nurses, physicians, and staff to address service requests and inform management.
• Maintains electrical and mechanical equipment and reports major issues to Administration.
