Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking a Deficiency Coordinator to estimate and generate repair proposals after inspections of fire alarm, sprinkler, and life safety systems. This role serves as the primary contact for customers with outstanding deficiencies, ensuring timely quotes and completions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Fire Alarm, Sprinkler or Security industry knowledge a plus.
• Over the counter sales or customer service experience.
• Comfortable with proactively reaching out to customers and solving problems.
• Strong computer skills; organized and process oriented.
• Effective communication and ability to present before broad audiences.
• Strong negotiation skills and competitive spirit.

Responsibilities

• Generate system repair estimates and proposals in a timely manner upon the completion of inspections.
• Coordinate with customers to facilitate timely repair of deficiencies.
• Develop relationships with field inspectors and obtain inspection reports for timely evaluation and quoting.
• Gain commitment from the customer over the phone and/or email.
• Coordinate with the service department on scheduling of repairs.
• Provide customers with recommendations and communicate system issues requiring urgent repair.
• Develop positive ongoing relationships with customers and understand their buying process.
• Track deficiency quotations by customer and amount.
• Deliver sales to an assigned quota.
• Interface with the service department to ensure timely scheduling of repairs.
• Engage with service managers and other sales reps as required.
