Cedarhurst Living is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to lead the community's life enrichment program, designing a calendar of events and experiences that engage residents physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. You will supervise Life Enrichment Coordinators and volunteers, ensuring resident interests guide all initiatives for a vibrant community culture.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical training preferred; coursework or background in sociology or recreational therapy is a plus.
• Must possess Activity Director Certification or complete the company provided course.
• Minimum of one (1) year related experience is preferred.
• License to drive community bus or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and any HR-related systems as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead activity programs across physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual dimensions.
• Post and distribute the calendar of events throughout the community and to family members.
• Oversee calendars completed by Life Enrichment Coordinators and volunteers.
• Initiate and direct programming daily, including weekends and evenings.
• Attend community functions and coordinate events from start to finish.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers and Life Enrichment Coordinators.
• Plan programs for holidays and coordinate holiday decorations.
• Meet with new residents to introduce programs.
• Maintain attendance and communicate with families via Cedarhurst's platform.
• Maintain reports on Life Stories, participation, and satisfaction.

Education

Associate's degree or technical training
