Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC seeks an Life Enrichment Activities Assistant in Herndon, VA to design and execute a monthly program of activities across IL and AL neighborhoods, supporting the Life Enrichment Director and coordinating with the LED, HSD, and HS assistants.

The role requires organizing, transporting residents for activities, recruiting volunteers, maintaining records, and promoting participation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or experience; entry level position with 1-3 years experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Support Life Enrichment Director in designing and implementing a wide variety of recreational and educational programs for IL and AL neighborhoods.
• Lead 6-7 high quality programs per day.
• Survey residents to determine interests and satisfaction with activities.
• Coordinate with LED, HSD, and HS assistants to plan calendars, events and outings.
• Recruit and oversee a robust volunteer program.
• Promote programs via daily notices and posters.
• Assist in transporting residents to groceries, appointments, and activities.
• Attend resident council meetings and maintain records.
