Job summary

WSP is seeking a LiDAR Technician III Project Coordinator/QA/QC to support Mobile LiDAR and Geospatial/Surveying. This role involves project setup, data classification, feature extraction, QA/QC review, and ensuring data accuracy per project standards across multiple U.S. locations.

The candidate will mentor the extraction team, maintain SOPs, stay current with software updates, and collaborate with project managers to optimize workflows. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience with Mobile LiDAR.
• Ability to work independently, and as part of a diverse team.
• A working knowledge of surveying mathematics, land surveying practices and procedures.
• Proficient in Bentley software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience with TopoDOT, TerraSolid software's preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work within team environment and collaborate with others.
• Competent self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up projects with the processing and extraction teams.
• Coordinate QA/QC of others' extraction efforts.
• Prepare final deliverables and reports.
• Identify workflows to maximize efficiency per job.
• Mentor and train new extractors as the department grows.
• Maintain SOP documentation and stay current with software updates.
• Lead LiDAR registration and extraction for the team.
• Review Mobile LiDAR control data and generate models.
• Collaborate with clients to meet scope of work requirements.
