WSP in the U.S. seeks a LiDAR Technician III Project Coordinator/QA/QC to support our Mobile LiDAR and Geospatial/Surveying teams.

The role involves project setup, data classification, feature extraction, QA/QC review, and delivering accurate data per project standards. Based in one of several NC/SC/GA/FL/VA offices, you will collaborate with processing and project management teams, mentor junior extractors, and help drive efficient workflows across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 5+ years' experience with Mobile LiDAR.
• Ability to work independently, and as part of a diverse team.
• Working knowledge of surveying mathematics, land surveying practices and procedures.
• Proficient in Bentley software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Experience with TopoDOT, TerraSolid software preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work within a team environment and collaborate with others.
• Competent self-leadership with attention to detail, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
• Must pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening with a valid license.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to follow health, safety and harassment policies.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsabilités

• Set up projects with processing and extraction teams; create seed files and build cell libraries.
• Coordinate QA/QC with team members’ extractions.
• Prepare final deliverables and reports.
• Work with project managers to identify workflows to maximize efficiency.
• Mentor and train new extractors as the department grows.
• Maintain standard operating procedure documentation.
• Stay current with industry software updates.
• Assist with R&D of alternative workflows and software for efficiency.
• Function as team lead for LiDAR registration and extraction.
• Review Mobile LiDAR control data and related survey materials.
• Create and review digital models and mapping of LiDAR and traditional surveys.
• Assist with client interactions to meet scope of work.
• Observe and comply with safety rules.
