Job summary

Core-Mark, a leading distributor serving the convenience retail industry in North America, is seeking a Business License Specialist.

You will manage license applications, renewals, and compliance across federal, state, provincial, and local requirements, coordinating with Finance, Legal, Tax, Operations and Sales to drive timely submissions and accurate records.

The role emphasizes data privacy, confidentiality, and proactive issue resolution in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in accounting, business, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in business licensing, permit admin, tax/regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing multiple deadlines in high-volume environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage renewal and registration for a large portfolio of licenses and tax registrations.
• Prepare, submit, and complete license applications and renewals on time.
• Maintain accurate records in LicenseHQ and other systems.
• Research licensing requirements at federal, state, local levels affecting operations.
• Communicate licensing changes and compliance requirements to the organization.
• Support audits, examinations, and compliance reviews related to licenses and permits.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, tax, operations, and sales to drive compliance initiatives.
