Job summary

Core-Mark is hiring a Business License Specialist to manage licensing and tax compliance across the organization. You will handle applications, renewals, research requirements, and maintain records with accuracy.

The role requires interaction with government agencies and internal teams, ensuring data privacy and adherence to regulations. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in accounting, business, finance or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years in business licensing, permit administration, tax compliance, regulatory compliance, or related discipline.
• Experience managing multiple compliance deadlines in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage renewal and registration for a large portfolio of licenses, permits and tax registrations.
• Prepare, submit and complete license applications, renewals and registrations on time.
• Maintain accurate records in LicenseHQ and other systems.
• Research, interpret and communicate licensing requirements at federal, state, local levels.
• Monitor changes in licensing and compliance requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Respond to government notices, inquiries and correspondence related to licenses.
• Prepare data for license applications, renewals, reporting and audits.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, tax, operations and sales to support licensing.
• Assist with audits, examinations and compliance reviews.
• Identify process improvements and participate in special projects.
