Job summary

Core-Mark seeks a Business License Specialist to manage license compliance across the organization and coordinate with government agencies, internal teams, and service providers. The role requires diligence, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills to support a complex licensing portfolio.

You will monitor changes, prepare documentation, and drive process improvements while ensuring timely renewals and accurate record-keeping in LicenseHQ.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience is required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in business licensing, permit administration, tax compliance, regulatory compliance, or a related field.
• Experience managing multiple compliance deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple deadlines.
• Experience with LicenseHQ or similar software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage renewal and registration processes for licenses, permits, and tax registrations.
• Ensure applications, renewals, and registrations are submitted accurately and on time.
• Maintain records within LicenseHQ and other compliance systems.
• Research and interpret federal, state, provincial, and local licensing requirements.
• Monitor regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Respond to government notices and inquiries related to licenses and registrations.
• Prepare data for licenses, renewals, reporting, and audits.
• Collaborate with field finance, legal, tax, operations, and sales to support licensing.
