Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Water Treatment Operator to monitor and control plant equipment and processes. You will ensure water quality meets permit requirements and operate pumps, valves and control systems while maintaining safety standards.

Role includes recording data, performing lab and field tests, and performing routine maintenance. Requires a high school diploma and Florida C license, with on-call readiness in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Florida grade C water plant operator license required; A/B preferred.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Basic math skills and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor operating conditions, meters, and gauges.
• Record readings and operational data in shift logs.
• Operate equipment to purify water or process waste.
• Follow EPA and Florida regulations and safety standards.
• Perform field tests and prepare chemical solutions.
• Perform minor maintenance and equipment cleaning.
• Assist in other plant areas as needed.
