Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a Water/Wastewater Plant Operator in Georgia to participate in the operation, maintenance, and repair of water and wastewater facilities. You will monitor equipment, collect samples, run tests, and maintain accurate records to ensure compliant and efficient plant operation.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, valid GA driver’s license, and a GA Class 3 Water Certificate within 1 year of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Water or wastewater experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate wastewater treatment plant equipment, pumps, valves, motors and chemical feed systems.
• Collect samples, run tests, and keep accurate plant records.
• Furnish assistance to regulatory representatives inspecting the plant.
• Maintain logs and enter data into computer systems.
• Adjust chemical treatment of plant processes as required.
• Respond to and control accidental releases of hazardous liquids and gases; perform confined space entries as needed.
