Job summary

The ASPCA is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician Staff and Floor Manager for its Community Veterinary Clinic (CVC) in New York. You will lead on-site clinical operations, support HQHVSN and primary pet care for cats and dogs, and coordinate daily workflow with the clinic team to deliver high-quality care to underserved communities.

Must have NYS RVT license, a minimum of five years as an RVT in small animal medicine, and at least two years of people management experience.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited school of veterinary science technology (2 or 4 year program).
• Current New York State Veterinary Technician License.

Responsibilities

• Perform a broad range of veterinary technician functions including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep and assistance.
• Support HQHVSN and PPC for cats and dogs in ASPCA service areas.
• Use low-stress, gentle handling to ensure safety of animals and staff.
• Communicate with clients, obtain history and discharge patients.
• Oversee workflow on the clinic floor and optimize daily patient flow.
• Coach nursing staff and ensure adherence to CM SOPs.
