Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a Staff Surveyor to oversee field crews and ensure successful completion of large-scale land surveying projects. You will collaborate with Project Surveyors to meet scope, schedule, and deliverables and sign survey documents for clients.

The role requires a Professional Land Surveyor license (or ability to obtain within six months) and strong skills in AutoCAD and MS Office, with transportation experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience leading field crews on large-scale surveying projects.
• Experience in project/phase management for large surveying projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Professional Land Surveyor License or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Transportation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Surveyors and project teams to execute land surveying projects according to scope and schedule.
• Supervise technicians and field crews on large-scale surveying projects.
• Sign and seal plats, drawings, and other survey documents for clients.
• Mentor and train technicians on state surveying requirements and QA/QC procedures.
• Perform additional duties to support the company’s strategic goals.
