Job summary

SAM is seeking a seasoned Survey Project Manager to lead complex land surveying programs from inception through delivery, overseeing both field crews and office teams. You will drive proposal development, budgets, schedules, and contracts while ensuring adherence to standards and client expectations.

You will cultivate strong client relationships, mentor staff, and report on project financials, contributing to SAM’s growth and excellence in geospatial solutions across multiple jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years in a professional or management capacity within surveying or geospatial fields.
• Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in AZ, UT, ID, NV, or CO.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing large-scale land survey projects and teams.
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, Geopak, ORD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead land survey projects from initiation to completion while ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
• Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, and contracts.
• Oversee field and office staff and mentor project teams.
• Build and maintain client relationships and pursue new opportunities.
• Provide financial reporting on project performance to leadership.
