Job summary

Saber Healthcare Group is seeking a full-time temporary Social Worker in Virginia Beach to support the emotional and social needs of residents. The role involves assisting the Director in managing the social services department, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, a current Social Worker license, and experience in Long Term Care and behavioral health. The successful applicant will earn $30 an hour and enjoy a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Social Worker if required.
• Experience in Long Term Care and behavioral health is required.
• Experience in healthcare or social services preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English and follow verbal/written instructions.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of your job is to assist the Director to ensure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis. You will assist in planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the community’s Social Services Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Social Services Policies and Procedures.

Education and Qualifications:

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possession of a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Social Worker within the state in which you work, if required by state/federal regulations.
• Must have experience in Long Term Care as well as behavioral health.
• Experience working in healthcare, either social services, direct care or hospitality, is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Shift & Wage:

• Full‑Time, Temporary Opportunity Available – this is a temporary position: now through August 2026
• Shifts Needed: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a – 4:30 p
• Wage: $30.00 per hour
