Job summary

Alameda Elder Services, located in Alameda, California, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a part-time, hourly basis. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality therapy services to our patients.

You will assist in evaluating patients, implementing treatment plans that may include exercises and other modalities, documenting progress, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in PTA program is required.
• Current California PTA license is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in healthcare or rehabilitation setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapist in evaluating conditions, progress, and treatment plans.
• Implement plans including exercise, massage, and other techniques.
• Document patient progress and inform the treating therapist.
• Educate patients and families on proper techniques to aid recovery.
• Maintain a clean, organized therapy area and monitor equipment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Stay current with PT developments and attend CE courses as needed.
