Job summary

Alameda Center is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support residents under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The role includes following physician orders, delivering treatments to maintain or improve residents' function, and documenting care in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Follow physicians' orders and directions of the Physical Therapist.
• Provide treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function.
• Maintain timely and accurate resident reports as required by regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Follow physicians' orders for resident care and follow directions of the Physical Therapist.
• Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of function possible within their physical abilities.
• Provide adaptive equipment and preventative measures to prevent decline in residents' functions.
• Observe infection control procedures and ensure resident safety.
• Collaborate with residents, families, facility staff and interdisciplinary team members.
