Job summary

Alameda Elder Services in Alameda, California, is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a part-time, hourly basis. You will work under a licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality physical therapy services to our patients in a collaborative setting.

The PTA will assist in evaluations, implement treatment plans, document progress, educate patients and families, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
• Current and valid PTA license in California.
• BLS certification is required.
• Knowledge of various therapy techniques and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Prior healthcare or rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand long periods.
• FBI/DOJ fingerprint clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapist in evaluating patient condition and developing a treatment plan.
• Assist in implementing treatment plans including exercise, massage, and other therapies.
• Document patient progress and communicate updates to the treating therapist.
• Educate patients and families on techniques and exercises to aid recovery.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy area and monitor equipment inventory.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure well-rounded care.
• Stay current with PT developments and attend CE courses as needed.

Job Summary

Alameda Elder Services is currently seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team full-time in Alameda, California. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to assist in providing high-quality physical therapy services to our patients. The PTA will work with a group of patients with varying needs and conditions.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a part-time, hourly position with a compensation of $40 per hour (DOE). We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes dental and vision insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within our growing company.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapist in evaluating patient's condition, assessing progress, and developing a treatment plan
• Assist in implementing treatment plans that include exercise, massage, and other therapeutic techniques

• Educate patients and families on proper techniques and exercises to facilitate recovery and prevent further injury
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy area and monitor equipment inventory
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the patient receives well-rounded care
• Stay current with developments in the field of physical therapy and attend continuing education courses as needed

Requirements

• Current and valid PTA license in the state of California
• BLS certification
