Job summary

Alameda Elder Services is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Alameda, California team on a full-time basis. The PTA will work under supervision to provide high-quality physical therapy services to our patients in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include evaluating progress, implementing treatment plans, documenting outcomes, and educating patients and families. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Must hold an active California PTA license.
• Associate degree in PTA program required.
• BLS certification required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapist in evaluating patient condition and progress.
• Help implement treatment plans including exercise and therapeutic techniques.
• Document patient progress and communicate updates to the PT.
• Educate patients and families on proper techniques and exercises.
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy area and monitor equipment.
