Job summary

MedCadre is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Alameda, CA to assist with patient treatment under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will help improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence through guided exercises and gait training.

You will implement treatment plans, monitor progress, educate patients on home programs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license or certification as applicable.
• Clinical experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and work within a healthcare team.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercises and physical therapy interventions.
• Assist patients with mobility, balance, strength, and range-of-motion activities.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and report changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients on exercises and home programs as directed.
• Assist with gait training and use of assistive devices.
• Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Follow patient safety and infection control procedures.
• Maintain treatment equipment and a safe therapy environment.
• Collaborate with the Physical Therapist and healthcare team.
