Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to implement the plan of care provided by the physical therapist across patients of all ages. The PTA acts as a clinical resource and role model, educating patients, families and staff while documenting care per policy.

Responsibilities include following the therapist’s plan, adjusting treatments based on patient response, performing therapeutic interventions such as exercise and electrotherapy, and completing daily EMR

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) credential recognized by IDFPR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response with physician communication documented.
• Produces documentation in accordance with Clinical Documentation Policy.
• Completes annual education to comply with DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program.
