Job summary

Carle Health in Houston is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to evaluate and treat patients across all ages. You will follow the PT plan of care, adjust therapy based on patient response, and document daily in the EMR.

You will educate patients, families and staff using effective teaching methods, and coordinate with the PT on treatment interventions. The role offers a sign-on bonus for new grads and for candidates with experience, plus relocation assistance for moves over 50

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (IDFPR) in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers using relevant and effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist's plan of care. Adjusts the treatment based on patient response and communicates with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with policy and completes annual education for hip/knee replacement program requirements.
• Coordinates with PT on treatment interventions and reports progress to referring providers.
