Job summary

Ascension Medical Clinic in Santa Rosa Beach, FL is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our pediatric team on day shift. You will assess patients, administer medications, monitor for adverse reactions, and educate families about care plans and post-discharge steps.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 30 days of hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credential required from Florida or Alabama boards; valid state license for the state of practice.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

• Experience working in Pediatrics
• Experience working in a Medical Clinic or Medical Group
• Experience with giving and understanding vaccines, shots, injections and rooming patients
