Job summary

Ascension is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Freeport, FL within Ascension Medical Group's Primary Care department. This day shift, full-time role offers patient-centered care under supervision of a RN or physician, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

You will administer medications, participate in patient assessments, and educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care after discharge in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire date.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse license valid for FL or AL.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.
  • Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Valid state license required specific to the state in which the associate works.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
