Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola seeks an LPN to support the Emergency Department. You will provide patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, participate in patient assessments, administer medications, run basic lab tests, and educate patients and families on care plans after discharge.

The position requires Florida LPN licensure, BLS within 30 days of hire, and a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credential from Florida Board of Nursing.
• Note: professional licensure can substitute education/experience where applicable.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
