Job summary

Grand Lake Health System in Ohio is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a part-time night shift (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.), 48 hours per pay with every 3rd weekend rotation.

You will deliver patient care through the Nursing Process—assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation—and lead patient teaching. You will collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes and may cover other units as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed LPN.
• Prior experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the Nursing Process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of Nursing Ancillary Personnel.
• Assumes a lead role in patient teaching.
• Collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
• May be required to work other patient care units or shifts according to the distribution of staff, patients, and/or patient acuity.

Requirements

• Ability to work holidays and weekends as required.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed LPN.

Experience

• Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
