Job summary

Grand Lake Health System is seeking an LPN for casual shifts (nights and days). You will deliver care using the Nursing Process and participate in patient teaching across units as needed. This role requires flexibility for weekends/holidays and a commitment to high-quality care.

As part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team, you will adapt to staffing demands and contribute to positive patient outcomes in a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed LPN.
• Willing to work holidays and weekends as required.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the Nursing Process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and guide patient teaching and nursing activities.
• Lead patient teaching initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
• May work other units or shifts as staffing requires.

• Per Casual Policy (3-4 shifts/month with 2 being weekend with holiday requirement)

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the Nursing Process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of Nursing Ancillary Personnel.
• Assumes a lead role in patient teaching.
• Collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
• May be required to work other patient care units or shifts according to the distribution of staff, patients, and/or patient acuity.

Requirements

• Ability to work holidays and weekends as required.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed LPN.

Experience

• Previous experience is preferred but not required.
