Job summary

Grand Lake Health System is seeking a part-time RN to deliver patient care using the Nursing Process, with daytime hours and a start time between 5:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The role includes a PACU on-call rotation, weekday call, and occasional weekend/holiday coverage as needed.

You will educate patients, guide nursing staff, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to achieve quality outcomes. An RN license and graduation from an accredited program are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN.
• Flexibility in scheduling to meet department needs.
• Previous nursing experience preferred but not required.

• Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of Nursing Ancillary Personnel.
• Assumes a lead role in patient teaching.

• May be required to work other patient care units or shifts according to staffing needs.

Hours of Job

• Part-time position, 48 hours per pay period.
• Daytime, flexible hours, start time between 5:30a.m. and 11:00a.m.
• Includes PACU on call rotation, includes weekday call, approximately every 8th weekend and holiday call.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the Nursing Process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of Nursing Ancillary Personnel.
• Assumes a lead role in patient teaching.
• Places the patient at the center of care practices.
• Collaborates and interacts positively with the interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and achieve desired outcomes.
• May be required to work other patient care units or shifts according to the distribution of staff, patients, and/or patient acuity.

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
