Job summary

Ascension Living in Des Plaines, IL seeks a full-time day-shift nurse administrator for Nazarethville Place in a Skilled Nursing setting. You will provide administrative oversight when nursing leadership is unavailable and support the rollout of clinical services and programs.

Key responsibilities include ensuring accurate clinical documentation, adherence to policies and regulatory requirements, and assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers to maintain high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse required prior to hire date.
• Leadership experience is required.
• 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative experience in a related setting.

Responsibilities

• Assume administrative authority for clinical departments in the absence of nursing leadership.
• Assist in implementing clinical services and programs.
• Oversee completion of clinical documentation per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure adherence to clinical policies within departmental guidelines.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers to assure appropriate care and compliance.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

Education:

• Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative
