Bethesda Health Group in Missouri is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide basic nursing care, assess residents on admission and ongoing, and document findings for the interdisciplinary team.

You will participate in care planning, administer medications and treatments safely, and communicate changes to residents and families. Current LPN license, CPR/AED, IV certification, and ability to lift 200+ lbs are required; long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited school of nursing that results in becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Current LPN license in the state you will be working.
• CPR and AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• IV certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Must be able to assess the basic nursing care needs of the geriatric resident.
• Must possess excellent communication skills to interact with residents, visitors and staff.
• Time management and organizational skills required.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance when necessary.
• Ability to transfer and move patients who vary with ability to assist weighing 200+lbs using proper lifting techniques and with assistance when necessary.
• Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40lbs using proper techniques and with assistance when necessary.
• Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with patients and equipment.
• Visual acuity with the ability to distinguish color.
• Ability to physically perform necessary documentation electronically and in writing.

Responsabilités

• Provide basic nursing care and assess residents on admission and on an ongoing basis.
• Communicate any significant changes in condition to the appropriate IDT members.
• Accurately document all assessments and care plans.
• Participate in the care planning process and update plans as interventions change.
• Administer medications and treatments in a safe and timely manner.
• Ensure required nursing interventions are executed per plan of care.
• Notify physicians timely using SBARR when indicated.
• Maintain composure during crises and monitor residents to ensure plan delivery.
