Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a contracted, school-based placement in Landover, MD for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

We are seeking candidates who have strong trach and vent skills and have experience working in a school-based setting as a private duty nurse.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in MD.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• Experience in a school-based setting as a private duty nurse.
• Pediatric private duty nursing experience.
• Skills in trach, vent, and G-tubes care.
• Ability to implement physician orders within LPN scope.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures per care plans.
• Provide first aid and medication administration.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and community activities as assigned.
• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family.

Job description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a contracted, school-based placement in Landover, MD for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services. We are seeking candidates who have strong trach and vent skills and have experience working in a school-based setting as a private duty nurse.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LPN License in MD
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification

• Must have School-based experience
• Must have Private Duty nursing experience with pediatric patients
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including: Diabetic monitoring, Asthmatic, Diabetics, Seizure monitoring, Medication administration, Pediatrics, Trach, Vent, G-tubes experience

• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LPN scope of practice
