Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Denver, CO for the 26/27 school year. This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

The ideal candidate has pediatric trach and vent experience and school-based PDN exposure, with strong assessment, documentation, and teamwork. You will work under RN supervision with clinical backing and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active LPN License in CO
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Pediatric experience required
• Competency in tracheostomy management, tube feedings, oxygen and airway management, and related care per student plan

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student during the school day
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures per care plans
• Provide airway care, tracheal suctioning, and emergency care as needed
• Administer medications and document care
• Communicate with school teams and accompany student to transportation/community activities

This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services. The ideal candidate is skilled and confident working with pediatric trach and vent patients and preferably has school-based PDN experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LPN License in CO
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Pediatric experience required

• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including tracheostomy management, tube feedings, oxygen and airway management, medication administration, catheterization

• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LPN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Maintain continuous observation of assigned student throughout the school day
• Support chronic condition management and assist with medical procedures as outlined in care plans
• PDN's will be responsible for any airway care needed for their client including proper tracheal suctioning and airway management, as needed trach care and trach tie changes, inhaler and nebulizer treatments, emergency care and emergency trach changes
• Provide first aid and medication administration
• Document care and communicate with school teams

• Accompany student during transportation and community-based activities when assigned

• Report significant status changes to supervising RN and family

COMPENSATION

$38-$43/hr * W-2 Contract * Denver, CO
