The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Hagerstown, MD for the 26/27 school year. This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

Qualifications

• Maryland LPN license is required.
• Current BLS/CPR‑AED certification required.
• Competency in pediatric care and school-based nursing tasks.
• Experience with trach/vent and seizure management per care plans.
• Able to perform tube feedings, oxygen and airway management.
• Experience with medication administration and catheterization.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and independence.
• Able to implement physician orders within LPN scope.
• School-based experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of the student during the school day.
• Support chronic condition management and care plan procedures.
• Provide first aid and medication administration.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and community activities.
• Report significant changes to supervising RN and family.

Job description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Hagerstown, MD for the 26/27 school year! This is a full-time private duty/1:1 role supporting a local K-12 district with nursing services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LPN License in Maryland
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated competency in the specific skills required for the assigned student including:
  • Pediatric skillset
  • Trach/vent management
  • Seizure management - competent with seizure action plans and rescue medications
  • Tube feedings
  • Pediatric diabetic care
  • Oxygen and airway management
  • Medication administration
  • Catheterization
  • Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently
• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LPN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO
