Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Shawnee Mission, KS for the 26/27 school year. This is a part-time private duty role and includes caring for a student on bus rides to and from school (M-F 7:30am - 12:30pm).

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Kansas.
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification.
• Pediatric care experience including seizure management, tube feedings, diabetes care, oxygen/airway management, medication administration, and catheterization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous observation of the student during school hours and bus rides.
• Support chronic condition management and assist with care plans.
• Provide first aid and administer medications per orders.
• Document care and communicate with school teams.
• Accompany student during transportation and activities as assigned.
• Report significant changes to the supervising RN and family.

Job description

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a contracted, school-based placement in Shawnee Mission, KS for the 26/27 school year! This is a part-time private duty role and includes caring for a student on bus rides to and from school (M-F 7:30am - 12:30pm).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Active LPN License in Kansas
• Current BLS CPR/AED certification
• Demonstrated experience with following skills:
  • Pediatric skillset
  • Seizure management - competent with seizure action plans and rescue medications
  • Tube feedings
  • Pediatric diabetic care
  • Oxygen and airway management
  • Medication administration
  • Catheterization
• Ability to safely implement physician orders and care plans within LPN scope of practice
• School-based experience highly preferred

WHAT YOU'LL DO
