Job description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Part-Time (Weekend)

Location: Murfreesboro, TN (onsite)

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 6pm-6am

Compensation: $31.88 per hour

Incentives: No sign‑on bonus for PRN status. No relocation package offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported
• Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel
• Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration
• Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled
• Conduct medication closest assessments
• Collect health related data
• Observe for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physician
• Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team
• Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program
• Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing
• Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
• Ability to communicate effectively with Interdisciplinary Team Members, as well as the people supported and their families
• Ability to work independently, be organized, and possess the ability to prioritize work tasks

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift 20 pounds
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds
• Must be able to pull a minimum of 25 pounds
• Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop
• Must be able to regularly stand and walk
• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level

• Vision includes close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision
• Must be able to communicate
