Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Weekend Nights

Location: Humboldt, TN (On‑Site)

Employment Type: Full‑time

Compensation: $30.42 per hour

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Assist the Registered Nurse in delivering quality nursing services to persons supported.
  • Provide health related training to unlicensed personnel.
  • Administer medications and treatments or assist the person supported with medication administration.
  • Assist with ensuring preventative and routine medical appointments are scheduled.
  • Conduct medication compliance assessments.
  • Collect health related data.
  • Observe for and report any abnormal health related findings to the physician.
  • Communicate with physicians, pharmacies, medical suppliers, and the Interdisciplinary Team.
  • Advocate for the people supported and assist with developing community supports to promote optimal health for the people supported.
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited licensed nurse program.
  • Current nursing license with no restrictions to practice nursing.
  • Current CPR Certification or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Effective communication with Interdisciplinary Team Members, the people supported, and their families.
  • Ability to work independently, be organized, and prioritize work tasks.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly lift 20 pounds.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
  • Ability to pull a minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Ability to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop.
  • Ability to regularly stand and walk.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level.
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
  • Ability to communicate.
Pre‑Employment Screening
  • Complete criminal background name check in the registries (OIG exclusions database, Child Abuse Registry, and Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities).
  • Drug testing.
  • Education verification and other credentialing based on position requirements.
  • Proof of employment history or references (if required).
  • Positions that require driving: Proof of driver's license, driver's insurance, and vehicle (if required for providing transportation for individuals).
