Job summary

Avalon Care Center Federal Way is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN or physician. You will participate in care planning, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.

This role offers full-time and PRN shifts with a $4/hour evening differential. A WA LPN license and strong communication skills are required for compassionate, resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Washington State.
• Understanding of long-term care regulations.

• Ability to pass background checks and screenings.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN, physician, or authorized healthcare provider
• Participate in developing, implementing, and updating resident care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Monitor resident health and report changes in condition
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
• Follow infection control and safety procedures
• Deliver compassionate, resident-centered care

What You'll Need

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Washington State
• Understanding of state and federal regulations governing long-term care
• Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn company software
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Ability to pass required background checks and employment screenings
