Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Syracuse, NY is seeking a licensed practical nurse (LPN) to join our memory care team. The role supports residents with daily living activities, medication administration, and monitoring for changes in condition.

Full-time 3pm-11pm with shift differential for nights and weekends; competitive benefits including health insurance, PTO, holidays, retirement plan and more.

Qualifications

• Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with seniors.
• Compassion for and desire to work with elderly is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Monitor medication programs and verify accuracy per physician orders.
• Dispense medications per MAR and facility policies.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ condition promptly.
• Maintain compliance with residents’ rights and regulatory guidelines.

Starting at $27.00 -$32.00/hr based on experience

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities include

• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Assist resident with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care as needed.
• Assist in monitoring medication programs.
• Dispenses medication in accordance with physician orders and as stated on the Medication Administration Record for all residents.
• Monitor and report any resident changes in condition in accordance with and rules and regulations and PSL policies.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Education & Experience

• Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of experience working as a nurse serving a senior population
• Compassion for and desire to work with elderly, required.
