Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living at Delmar Place located in Delmar, NY is seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team. Schedule is 7am-3pm with every other weekend, and duties include assisting residents with daily activities and monitoring medications under physician orders.

The ideal candidate holds an active LPN license, has at least one year of experience serving seniors, and demonstrates genuine compassion for the elderly.

Qualifications

• Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of experience serving a senior population.
• Compassion for and desire to work with elderly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and understanding of regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Monitor medication programs and dispense as per physician orders.
• Record and report resident condition changes per policy.
• Adhere to PSL policies and regulatory requirements.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities include

• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care as needed.
• Assist in monitoring medication programs.
• Dispenses medication in accordance with physician orders and as stated on the Medication Administration Record for all residents.
• Monitor and report any resident changes in condition in accordance with rules and regulations and PSL policies.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Education & Experience

• Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of experience working as a nurse serving a senior population
• Compassion for and desire to work with elderly, required.
