Job summary

Ebenezer's Martin Luther Care Center in Bloomington, MN is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to lead, supervise and direct nursing care on the assigned unit. You will ensure care plans, med administration and regulatory compliance are followed, while guiding a team including Nurse Managers and Nursing Assistants.

The role requires an ADN, MN RN license, CPR/BLS, and 1–3 years of experience (LTC management preferred). Day shift, 64 hours biweekly, weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have MN RN license by start date.
• Minimum ADN required; BSN preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience required.
• LTC/long-term care management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff on assigned unit to ensure plan of care.
• Administer medications per physician orders and policies.
• Ensure documentation, care plans, and records are up to date.
• Report issues to management and offer solutions.
• Serve as facility supervisor and handle administrative tasks.

Job Overview

The Martin Luther Care Center RN Charge nurse leads, supervises and directs and/or delegates all nursing functions on assigned unit or floor to assure care is provided per plan of care. This position must demonstrate sound management skills through problem solving and decision making. They are responsible to supervise in compliance with State and Federal regulations as well as Ebenezer Standards and policies for our Skilled Nursing Facility in Bloomington, MN (Martin Luther Care Center). Team includes a Director of Nursing, Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses, Nursing Assistants, Social Worker, and more.

This position includes;

• 64 hours per two weeks
• Day shift
• Weekends as needed

Assures staff compliance with State and Federal regulations, Nursing Standards of Practice and Ebenezer Quality Assurance Standards

Assures Care Plan, medical records and other documentation are up to date

Administers medications and performs treatments per physician orders and facility policies

Reports problem areas to management and provides suggestions and solutions

Serves as facility supervisor and assumes administrative responsibilities as assigned

Required

Minimum Associates RN Degree

One To Three Years’ Experience Required

Current MN RN license by start date

CPR /BLS certified

Preferred

BSN preferred

Three To Five Years Experience Preferred

Previous LTC management experience preferred
