Job summary

Ascension Living’s Alexian Village Valley Residence in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Memory Care on a rotating PRN schedule. You will deliver hands-on nursing care, administer medications, and monitor residents.

The role supports RNs, builds relationships with residents and families, and emphasizes safety and comfort in a long-term care setting. Requires LPN license and BLS; high school diploma or equivalent or 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• LPN/LVN license required prior to hire.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Accepted by AHA or Red Cross.
• High school diploma equivalency or 1 year of experience required.
• Licensure can substitute for education/experience where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Delivers hands-on nursing care, including medication administration, treatments, and routine assessments.
• Monitors resident conditions and promptly reports changes to RNs.
• Builds trusting relationships with residents and families in a long-term care setting.
• Upholds resident safety and comfort in daily care.

What Minimum Requirements You'll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
