Job summary

Ascension in Chattanooga, TN, located at Alexian Village Valley Residence, seeks a licensed practical nurse to provide hands-on care in memory care. You will administer medications, perform routine assessments, and support RNs while fostering trusting resident and family relationships in a long-term care setting.

This part-time, rotating-shift role requires an LPN license, BLS certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• LPN license or LVN license required with state licensure.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent; professional licensure used in lieu possible.

Responsibilities

• Delivers hands-on nursing care, including medication administration and routine assessments.
• Supports RNs by monitoring resident conditions and reporting changes promptly.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
