Job summary

Merakey AVS is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our IDD team at the Crafton, PA location. The role focuses on supporting adults with IDD, delivering care, and training in personal care, communication, and social skills.

Schedule is 3 weekdays 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM with rotating M-F; NEW shift differentials add $4 per hour on most shifts and $6 per hour for the Saturday-Monday block. Base pay starts at $29 per hour with an optional extra $2 per hour for full-time employees opting out of our

Qualifications

• Current license as an LPN in the Commonwealth of PA.
• One year of experience as an LPN preferred.
• Genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
• A valid PA driver7s license and reliable transportation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with IDD in various care settings to promote health and safety.
• Assist with personal care, communication, and social skill development.
• Provide training and support to individuals to enhance independence.
• Collaborate with the IDD team to implement care plans.

Base Pay

• Standard base rate:$29.00per hour
• OptionalEnhanced Pay:+$2.00per hour (for full-time employees opting out of our primary medical/dental/vision)

Position Details

OurLicensed Practical Nurseinteract and support our adults in a variety of potential settings and provide a level of care that enhances the health, safety, dignity, and contentment of every individual served by assisting and training them in the areas of personal care, communication, and social skill development. In addition, most of the people we serve have multiple physical disabilities, extensive medical complications and may require supports for challenging behaviors.This position is located in our PHMC facility that operates as a 45-50 bed location.

Merakey AVS is a non-profit organization which provides homes and a full range of services to adults with all levels of intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The majority of the nearly 800 individuals that we support are diagnosed with severe or profound IDD.
