Job summary

Merakey is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for our Philadelphia, PA location. The role involves administering medications, supervising self-administration by residents, monitoring vital signs, and supporting therapeutic activities under supervision.

Requires PA LPN license, 1 year of adult experience, and ongoing training compliance. Workweek is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with comprehensive benefits and staff support services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited LPN nursing program.
• Current license as LPN in Commonwealth of PA.
• Must be able to work with adults with mental disorders.
• Must have a minimum of one year of experience with adults.
• Must attend required pre-service and ongoing training.
• Must provide proof of LPN certification renewals.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of the Program Director, administer medications and therapeutic treatment orders.

This role is Monday - Friday 8a - 4p.

Position Details

Under the guidance of the Program Director, the LPN will provide for the well-being of the individuals being served within the EAC. Administer medications and therapeutic treatment orders. Train residents in self-administration of medications. Monitor and document weight, respiration, and blood pressure. Participate in leading and co-leading therapeutic groups. Documentation and reporting of all necessary records and progress notes. Provide a framework for a safe learning experience in the environment. Provide information, guidance, and foster growth and development. Facilitate implementation of the specific program and individual routines while serving as a role model for staff. Compliance and enforcement of all established agency policies and those delineated by the State and County regulations.
