Job summary

Ormond Rehabilitation is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team in Daytona Beach. The role covers night shift, full-time with PRN opportunities, focusing on monitoring, administering medications, and supporting residents' progress in a long-term care setting.

Candidates must hold a current LPN license in Florida. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered, and compensation will reflect education, experience, and credentials in a compassionate community hospital and skilled

Qualifications

• Long term care/post-acute care setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing supervision of nursing assistants per regulations
• Assist in planning the resident's discharge nursing services as required
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
• Chart nurses' notes reflecting care provided and resident responses
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician
• Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as needed
• Ensure narcotics handling complies with laws and maintains accurate records
• Make daily rounds to ensure staff perform duties to standard
• Notify attending physicians/next-of-kin when conditions change

Looking for Night Shift Full Time Coverage and PRN

Responsibilities:

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Assistants in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care center
• Assist in planning the nursing services portion of the resident's discharge plans as required
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary
• Chart nurses' notes in an informative and descriptive manner that reflect the care provided to the residents, as well as the residents' responses to the care
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and as required by center policy
• Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary and in accordance with established policies
• Ensure that narcotics are handled in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and as required by center policy and that narcotic records are accurate for your shift
• Make daily rounds of your unit/shift to ensure that nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards
• Notify the residents' attending physicians and next-of-kin when there is a change in the residents' conditions or if the residents are involved in an incident or accident
• Attend and participate in all center in-service programs as required
• Daily Required Nursing evaluations and documentation is completed in Point Click Care.
