Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living in Colonie, NY is seeking a kind and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time day shift (7:00am-3:00pm) with rotating weekends. You will support residents with daily living activities and medication administration in a memory-care focused setting.

Requirements include an active LPN license in good standing and at least one year of experience serving a senior population. We offer generous benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse license in good standing.
• Minimum of one year of experience serving a senior population.
• Compassion for and desire to work with elderly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Assist in monitoring medication programs.
• Dispense medications per physician orders and MAR.
• Monitor and report resident condition changes.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities include

• Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights.
• Assist resident with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, changing of bed linens, positioning, transfer, mobility, and incontinence care as needed.
• Assist in monitoring medication programs.
• Dispenses medication in accordance with physician orders and as stated on the Medication Administration Record for all residents.
• Monitor and report any resident changes in condition

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Education & Experience

• Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license in good standing, required.
• Minimum of one year of experience working as a nurse serving a senior population required.
• Compassion for and desire to work with elderly required.
